Meet Matt Burchfield
Rooted in service, creativity, and a deep commitment to Middle Tennessee families, Matt Burchfield is dedicated to fixing the infrastructure holding Wilson County back, tackling the cost-of-living crisis, and ensuring every Tennessean has the representation they deserve.

Matt Burchfield is a producer, teacher, father, and Wilson County neighbor who has spent his career solving complex problems and delivering results. Raised in a household built on service by a police detective mother and a Navy Force Master Chief stepfather, Matt learned early that discipline, creativity, and empathy are the foundation of effective leadership. He built his career in corporate production and media, channeling those same skills managing teams, budgets, and logistics as a Video Production Manager and college instructor. He raised two boys largely on his own, coached youth basketball for seven years, and has always believed that showing up for your community is not optional.
Why is he Running?
Wilson County families are working harder than ever and still falling behind. Congested roads eat into family time. A cost of living rising faster than paychecks makes impossible choices feel routine. And a state government that has spent years focused on culture-war politics has left real problems without real solutions.

Matt is running because Tennessee deserves a representative who takes daily life seriously. Someone who will direct tax dollars toward the people who live and work here, grow the economy in ways that lift working families, and ensure that every Tennessean has full civil rights and real representation. He is not running to pick a side. He is running to get things done.
